In our drive to discover yet another interesting ghat, as we went over the pages of history, we came across Rustomji Ghat in Kashipur, well-known for ship-repairing during the British Raj. Excitedly, we searched through the nondescript streets of Kashipur and stumbled across the signage of ‘Sadhu Ghat’ at the end of Rustomji Parsi Road. As if by sheer luck, wading through the never-ending narrow winding lane amidst slums and small workshops, we discovered a ghat adjacent to a ship repairing factory. Collating the historical references with the information at hand, we deduced that this, the most innocuous Sadhu Ghat of today, is none other than the famous Rustomji Ghat of yore.
